Greg
Freeman, CPA
Greg
graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
from Texas Tech University in May of 1976. Prior to joining Mason
Warner & Company, P.C., in November 1981, he worked for another
local CPA firm. He attained certification in November 1981 and became
a shareholder on November 6, 1991. Through his tenure with both
firms, Greg has become knowledgeable in the areas of Small Business
and Closely held Corporations, Retirement Plans, Farming and Ranching,
and Employee Benefit Plans. Greg works with all types of entities
including both "C" and "S" corporations, all
forms of partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, Not for Profit
entities as well as Individuals.
Greg
is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society
of CPAs and the South Plains Chapter of TSCPA. Greg has served the
local chapter as chairman of the Continuing Professional Education
Committee, and as chairman of the IRS Relations Committee. At the
state level of the Texas Society of CPAs, he has served on the CPE
Council. Greg is a member of the South Plains Lions Club, has served
in various positions from president to board member and is currently
serving as Club treasurer. Greg has served on the Board of Directors
of Contact Lubbock, Inc. and the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Lubbock.
He is a graduate of the Leadership Lubbock program. Greg is currently
serving as a member of the Clinical Ethics Committee at University
Medical Center.
Greg
is married to Carolyn, who works for VistaCare Hospice. They are
the parents to four daughters and one son. They are active members
of their church were Greg serves as a Sunday School teacher for
the three- and four-year-old class.
