Linda
Smith
Linda
came to MWC in July of 1991, from Pearl, Mississippi. She attended
Copiah-Lincoln Junior College in Wesson, Mississippi, leaving school
to begin working at a nationwide insurance company. She worked in
the insurance field until May, 1986, when she joined Mississippi
Baptist Medical Center in Jackson as Office Manager of the Respiratory
Care Department. A transfer by her husband's employer brought the
family to Lubbock in 1991.
Linda
began working for Dial-A-Check Payroll Service in July of 1991.
She added the responsibility of administering MWC's network in November,
1995, and attended Novell training in 1996. She began administering
the network on a full-time basis when MWC closed the payroll service
bureau in April, 2000. She also works with any payroll-related issues
clients may experience.
She
and her husband have 2 grown daughters. One is married. She and
her husband are both graduates of Northland College in Wisconsin.
They are currently stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida
where her husband is serving as a Second Lieutenant and preparing
for his permanent duty station. She is also currently in graduate
school. The youngest is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana.
She is currently working in Lubbock and preparing for graduate school.
Linda enjoys cooking, reading, and spending quiet time with her
family. She and her husband are actively involved in their church
and in the Llano Estacado Emmaus Community.
