Mark
W. Dickson, CPA
Mark
graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
from Texas Tech University in May of 1979. Prior to his graduation
he joined the firm as a part time employee in January of 1979 and
became a full time employee upon his graduation in May. He attained
his certification in November of 1981 and became a shareholder on
November 6th, 1991. In his experience with Mason Warner & Company
PC he has become knowledgeable in the areas of Oil & Gas taxation,
Farming and Ranching, and Small Business and Closely held Corporations.
Mark works with all types of entities including both "C"
and "S" corporations, all forms of partnerships, Limited
Liability Companies, Trusts and Estate as well as Not for Profit
entities. Mark is also certified to prepare Cost Reports and Fiscal
Accountability Reports required of Facilities that care for the
Elderly and the Mentally Handicapped in the State of Texas.
Mark
is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society
of CPAs and the Lubbock Chapter of TSCPA. He has served in numerous
state and local leadership positions including President of the
Lubbock Chapter of TSCPA in 1998-1999. He is a member of the Private
Providers Association of Texas (PPAT) which serves private industry
that is engaged in caring for the mentally disabled in Texas. He
is a member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and has served as
a leader in the United Way, University Medical Center Forum, and
The Epilepsy Foundation for the South Plains. He is a graduate of
the Leadership Lubbock program and served the following year on
the Leadership Lubbock steering committee.
Mark
is married and his wife teaches in the Lubbock Independent School
District. They have three children. They are active members of their
church and in the schools that their children attend. Mark enjoys
trout fishing, camping and travel.
