Patricia H. Higgs, CPA

Patty is a 1987 graduate of the University of Illinois at Springfield with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. From 1985 until 1996, she was employed by a large regional accounting firm as a Supervisor in the tax department. In 1996, after relocating to the State of Michigan, Patty joined a local CPA firm and attained the position of Manager of the Agribusiness Department. In 2001, she relocated to Lubbock and joined Mason Warner & Company, P.C. in December.

She has extensive experience in tax for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, her experience encompasses estate and gift tax returns. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in agribusiness consulting and tax planning. In addition to her farm experience as a CPA, she has had practical knowledge in the operation of a grain farm operation for 17 years. Her duties in the agribusiness department in Michigan included working with both large and small dairy operations.

Patty holds professional certification and licensure in Illinois and Michigan. She is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, Texas Society of CPA's, South Plains Chapter of the TSCPA, West Texas Women's CPA's and the Illinois Society of CPA's.

In her spare time Patty enjoys snow skiing, gardening and traveling. She is married to Herb, who is the manager of the Panhandle-South Plains Fair in Lubbock.
