4.18.07 - Filed your 1040 already? The IRS provides refund information online to help you track the status of your refund. Go to Where's My Refund? at www.irs.gov or click here and we'll take you there. You may also call the IRS's refund hotline at 1-800-829-1954 or the automated service at 1-800-829-4477. You will need your Social Security number, filing status of the taxpayer and the exact amount of the refund in whole dollars.

6.13.06 - The Comptroller for the State of Texas, Carol Keeton Strayhorn, has released a new tax calculator to assist business owners estimate potential higher taxes under the new Perry Tax Bill of 2006.

5.18.06 - House Bill 3 became law when signed by Gov. Rick Perry. The New Texas Franchise Tax eliminates the provisions that have allowed major companies to avoid the tax. Click on New Texas Franchise Tax to see details of the Bill.

5.17.06 - President Bush signed the Tax Increase Prevention and Reconciliation Act of 2005 into law today. The Bill contains provisions affecting the alternative minimum tax (AMT), "Kiddie tax", small business equipment expensing, extends some investor-friendly provisions beyond their scheduled expiration date, and other provisions involving capital gains. For more precise information in determining how the Bill affects you, please contact your CPA directly. We would be pleased to visit with you.
